Before using your new cookware, thoroughly clean it in hot soapy water.
This will remove invisible oils, polishing compounds which appear as
black specks when present, and any other residues left from the manufacturing
process. Rinse and Dry.
Your cookware is dishwasher safe and stainless steel is oven safe.
Always use Pot Holders when removing from a hot oven.
When cooking on gas and electric ranges, select a burner that matches
the size of the cookware bottom as closely as possible. Adjust the flame
or heating element so that it contacts only the bottom of the pot/pan
and not the sides. High heat is not recommended because the unique energy
saving feature, of the aluminum clad bottom, will heat up rapidly and
evenly, eliminating cold spots. Start with medium heat and reduce to
a lower setting when boiling occurs or when the meat has been seared.
Stainless Steel stains less but it is not scratchless. Never use steel
wool or other abrasive pads which will leave scratch lines in the steel.
While stains and burns will not harm stainless steel or foods cooked
in it, the following reasonable care will be helpful to you. Cookware
should not be allowed to boil dry. this may cause discoloration. (i.e.
black/blue stain) If this occurs, fill the pot halfway with water and
add a solution of 1/2 cup vinegar and two tablespoons of baking soda.
Stir to mix. Bring the solution to a boil, then simmer for 30 minutes.
To remove food and grease which has burned on, use hot soapy water
and scrub with a soft pad. Cooking certain starchy, salty or acidic
foods may cause a stain. These can easily be removed with a commercial
stainless steel cleaner which will, also, restore the bright finish.
Non-stainless steel cookware parts are designed and produced under
the same strict & state of the art production methods and standards
as our cookware. They include built-in durabilities that take into consideration
a variety of everyday household uses and handling. While covered under
our warranty, the following use and handling limitations apply:
1. Since, glass will break or crack, we use HI-Tempered glass lids,
because it is much more difficult for tempered glass to break or crack,
due to its built-in forgiveness for some mishandling, vs. untempered
glassware more commonly produced for other uses and applications. Tempered
glass is safer because it will not shatter into small pieces. HI-Tempered
glass makes it possible to enjoy the flexibility and see-through convenience
during food preparation. This speeds up cooking time because it is not
necessary to lift up the lid to see the cooking progress. HI-Tempered
glass lids have oven safe qualities; however, we cannot measure, prove
or control time and temperature chosen by a cook which may exceed specifications.
Therefore, our warranty does not cover breakage or cracking caused by
oven and broiler use or dropping one time too many.
2. With regards to phenolic bakelite handles and knobs, breakage and
cracking is covered under our Lifetime
Limited Warranty but not if caused by oven or broiler use.
3. Rubber gaskets are not covered under our warranty because they have
a natural life cycle caused by normal washing and aging. They may be
removed which will make the cookware oven safe. Their purpose is to
delay and reduce the heat that attempts to pass through to the handles.
4. We will be pleased to inspect any damaged part, for coverage under
our warranty and parts are available, for purchase, through our Customer
Service Department in accordance with our Lifetime
Limited Warranty and Guarantee statement.
